Intellectual property protection center opens in FTZ

The China (Pudong) IPR Protection Center was founded in the free trade zone on Tuesday to strengthen protection of intellectual property rights in high-end equipment manufacturing and biomedicine sectors.

The center will provide copyright, patent and trademark registration and protection services, help law enforcement agencies to fight IPR violations, and provide training for patent and license professionals.

Pudong New Area has adopted a series of measures to reform the IPR management system since 2014 and the Pudong Intellectual Property Bureau was founded on January 1, 2015 to combine patent, trademark and copyright services into one.
