China Maritime Museum
China Maritime Museum is the first national maritime museum approved by the State Council. The largest and highest quality museum of its kind in the country, China Maritime Museum plays an important role in collecting cultural relics, academic research, social education, organizing exhibitions and popularizing marine science.
Taking “Navigation” as the theme and “Historical Relics Collection” as the basis, it consists of six main exhibition areas, namely Navigation History, Ships, Navigation & Ports, Marine Affairs & Safety, Sailors and Military Navigation.
There are also two dedicated halls for fishing boats and maritime sports, as well as a planetarium, 4-D movie theater and children’s amusement center.
